
Bill served in the army from 1969 to 1991 and served as a Sapper driver to the Regimental Motor Transport Officer. Bill has driven and planned out of gauge loads during this period including the movement of the Regiment to the Gulf.
On leaving the army he became a transport planner for a blue chip company scheduling daily deliveries of propane and butane gas in cylinders and bulk using 55 HGV vehicles nationwide.
In 1999 Bill moved to Germany and was responsible for onsite logistics for 3 vehicle refurbishment sites, planning transports of all refurbished vehicle deliveries by car transporter and rail for all sites. In 2001 he returned on secondment to the UK as the logistics manager for 3 sites, dealing with all logistics matters and policies,
Bill has worked at The Humber Sea Terminal for Ford / Cobelfret planning the loads for Ford, Chrysler Benz and Mazda and afterwards for a company supplying hire vehicles after non fault accidents, and was responsible for the daily planning of deliveries / collections for 45 drivers and 2 HGV vehicles.
Bill joined the IHH team in April 2010.
When not at work Bill and his wife Ruth enjoy walking their dog Max, eating out with friends, and caravanning.
